Phenotype: | - |
Properties: | This host strain is a derivative of the Crow strain and can be used for bioengineering where purified products with reduced endotoxicity are desirable. The O-antigen ligase has also been removed so that recombinant glycans are not removed from Und-P and attached to surface lipid. The Campylobacter jejuni pglB oligosaccharyltransferase with a 0.1 strength Anderson promoter is integrated into the chromosome of the Crow strain, between atpI and gidB using CRISPR technology, for bioconjugation. |
Further information: | This strain is part of a versatile suite of glycoengineering strains for various downstream applications, such as glycoconjugate vaccine production. |
